Gansai Watercolour

Learn to paint detailed Gansai illustrations, these classes are suited for adults, beginners to advanced. Practice techniques and learn to create visual textures using different strokes while completing small projects with step by step guidance. Option to draw or trace the initial outlines.

Colour Pencil

Learn to create detailed colour pencil art from photos, these classes are suited for adults, beginners to advanced. Practice techniques, learn to create visual textures using different strokes while completing small projects with step by step guidance. Or work on your own project (you must have permission to use the photo). Option to draw or trace the initial outlines.

Drawing

These classes will be an opportunity to practice your drawing skills, we will focus on the importance of measuring, tone and edges. Testing out different methods including standard grid, triangular grid, invisible grid, sight-size, upside-down and measured drawing to complete small projects from reference photos and life (still life or botanical subjects). We will work in a combination of graphite and charcoal. These classes are suited for adults, beginners to advanced.

Mixed Media Notebooks/Art Journals Workshops

These workshops will be an opportunity to create your own personalised notebook or art journal. We will use a combination of collage, gellipress, acrylic paint, watercolour, markers and magazine collage.​

Art supplies

Art supplies for these workshops will be provided however participants will need to provide the internal pages for their books either copy paper, lined notepaper, sketch paper or watercolour paper. Participants who have their own gellipress are also encouraged to bring theirs along.
